They say true beauty is terrifying.

Maybe the fear has scalded your wheezing heart.
Petrified. Your stonewalled veins crumble before Venus,
Sacrilege never crosses your mind as you sin
again, again, pyres ashen before they're built
under the fires you light to warm your charcoal bones.

Revel in the purity of your unbridled, raging hearth
Whilst you blind yourself from its naked, destitute ruins.
