you don't always need a reason to cry
tears want to run down your face,
they're straining themselves
to reach out
and touch the real world
everything is full and full and
melancholic, like you
and your heart can't take the bittersweet pain,
even though you're not in pain.
the tears need to break out.
they're crying too,
everything is a soft summer evening,
a spring afternoon.
let the water fall
down and down and down
your cheeks and lips and
make streams of light.
what makes happiness and sadness different,
when they both cry heavy tears? let them love
each other the way love should be.
your eyes are shining.
they're straining themselves
to reach out
and touch the real world
everything is full and full and
melancholic, like you
and your heart can't take the bittersweet pain,
even though you're not in pain.
the tears need to break out.
they're crying too,
everything is a soft summer evening,
a spring afternoon.
let the water fall
down and down and down
your cheeks and lips and
make streams of light.
what makes happiness and sadness different,
when they both cry heavy tears? let them love
each other the way love should be.
your eyes are shining.

i wrote this while listening to Chloe Moriondo's cover of 'The Moon Song' by Karen O.
This poem is a mess, but why do poems need to be organized anyway? #YouCan'tFaultThatLogic
